Ben Lahring has served in pastoral and administrative roles at churches in Calgary, Hinton and Edmonton, bringing a heart for faith formation, community care and thoughtful teaching. He is committed to walking with people through all seasons of life and helping congregations grow in spiritual depth and connection.
Ben grew up in Australia's tropical north and completed his undergraduate studies in music ministry and guitar performance at Wesley Institute in Sydney. After graduating, he moved to New York City, where he worked as a musician and paralegal for four years. He moved to Calgary in 2012, earned a graduate degree from the University of Calgary and later taught at Mount Royal University and Ambrose University.
Ben draws on a diverse background in ministry, music and education, balancing his passion for pastoral service with ongoing artistic and academic pursuits. He and his wife, Dayla, enjoy spending time in nature with their two large dogs, while their cat keeps an eye on things at home.
